The mumblings from someone who is learning about adoption and parenting as it happens. As the mom of a couple of tweens who were adopted through the foster care system, my adoption experience has been wildly different than those I have read about as international or domestic infant adoptions or even the adoptions of folks who fostered for years before adopting the children in their care.
